On the afternoon of September 30, 2026, our student representative council organized a "Lecturers' Café," giving students of mathematics, computer science, and physics the opportunity to engage with faculty members from both departments and ask the questions they had always wanted to raise. Topics ranged from the philosophy of science and the study programs themselves to careers in academia and —not least— personal experiences. For physics, this was the first Lecturers’ Café of its kind – and perhaps the beginning of a new tradition.
We thank the MathPhysInfo student council for organizing this event, which enabled such an exciting exchange between students and lecturers and drew well over 100 participants!
