The team "Flamingos" with Dinah Grun, Luisa Heck, Jakob Lensch and Paul Obernolte from Heidelberg University won this year's edition of the Dopplers-competition (the intranslatable acronym for Deutsche Olympiade im Physik-Probleme-Lösen Eifrig Rätselnder Studierender), hosted by the University of Dortmund. The second team from Heidelberg, "Ruprechts Knechte" with David Barth, Esra Grashoff, Matthias Lotze and Nicolai Vollbrecht, was able to secure the fifth place. The Flamingos and the Knechte Ruprechts showed their cleverness and their physics skills in eight problems from theoretical physics. With their victory, the Flamingos are qualified to participate in the international PLANCKS-competition, which will take place in Barcelona later this year.
