Quantum field theory is our current framework to describe elementary particles in nature.
Numerical methods are an attractive way to access the strongly coupled regime of theories, where perturbative methods fail. Prominent examples of such regimes are the low energy sector of quantum chromodynamics or quantum gravity. In these lectures, I will introduce Monte Carlo methods and the functional renormalization group and demonstrate how the resulting equations can be solved efficiently using modern numerical methods.
Participants are invited, but not required, to code along and produce their own results.
